Wise Owl Marketing

Master of Social Content & Engagement

I was the Master of Social Content & Engagement for Wise Owl Marketing, which is probably the coolest possible way to say that I was in charge of the brand’s social media pages. From 2021 to 2023, I helped Wise Owl Marketing shift their messaging to target frustrated entrepreneurs who weren’t living the life they dreamed of.

Here’s what I did.

Instagram

First things first, the Instagram needed a makeover. The old Instagram page didn’t really have solid branding or a clear message — it felt a little all over the place. Sure, it was fun and they did a good job of incorporating social media holidays into the mix, but at the end of the day, it wasn’t providing value to the followers.

Showing personality is a good thing, but it shouldn’t come at the sacrifice of value. Value comes first, entertainment comes second.

When you keep the target audience in mind, it makes everything else a lot easier.

Videos

Heather, the owner of Wise Owl Marketing, was already doing a great job of creating videos for her customers. However, they were strictly living on YouTube or in an email — which is fine, but it’s leaving a lot of potential on the table.

We decided to cut these videos up and start creating short form videos to post on Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, TikTok and Facebook Reels.

By cutting up the message, adding some flash and sizzle and making the videos more digestible for a short attention span, we’ve been able to grow the Wise Owl Marketing audience and establish the brand as an authority in the marketing space.

Plus, in today’s day and age, video just works better than photos. As of 2022, video content is 1200% more successful than traditional text and image content, so if you and your business isn’t taking part in video content, you’re being scrolled past.

We established a consistent video posting routine where we were posting a short form video almost every week.
